“Common Threads” – the Craft Group in Stonnington
There is a long, long list of skills and projects at “Common Threads”, a Special Interest Group of the Stonnington Community Uniting Church in East Malvern. This well-established Craft Group invites you to join us for our monthly social get-together combined with making things. Open to beginners or experts, we donate items to community organizations.
Who can participate in “Common Threads”?
If you are interested in KNITTING, CROCHET, EMBROIDERY, or other CRAFT work – whether you are a beginner or experienced – this group will provide a chance to learn new skills and to share your skills with others. You can socialize informally while making garments, toys, rugs, and more to donate to worthy causes. Or just work on your own projects.
Our connection to Kogo
Kogo is an Australia-wide organisation that provides ‘ hand knitted items of warmth and comfort to the most vulnerable and disadvantaged in our community’. We have a particular focus on knitting squares for KOGO, and some of us also join up Kogo squares to make blankets.
