Stonnington Community Uniting Church will resonate with some of the best of 20th Century Hymns on Sunday, June 30th at 2.30pm. Introduced by well-known, passionate hymnologist Rev Dr. H.D’Arcy Wood (Past President of the Uniting Church of Australia) with prestigious pianist and choirmaster, music director Bruce Macrae, the audience will join in the singing and be engaged by a guest choir.

We all know that you can sing hymns anywhere. On your verandah, out in a paddock, or in the shower. The Stonnington Community Uniting Church, with its vaulted wooden ceiling, and grand piano, is well known for its acoustics, and is a particularly ideal location for the human voice to hear and be heard. The Church is located at 59 Burke Road, East Malvern (on the corner of Coppin Street).
What will be on the Program?
According to Wikipedia there are 35 Pages of 20th Century Hymns. What will D’Arcy and Bruce have decided upon? The only way to find out will be to join in this outstanding, 2 hour Hymn Event on Sunday June 30th, 2024, at 2.30pm.

Parking and Public Transport
Parking is available in the streets surrounding the church. Thankfully there are no great hills, but if you are running late you might have a bit of a walk. The Stonnington Church is well served for public transport users. The No 5 tram is a short work from the corner of Wattletree and Burks Roads, and the No 3 trams stops at the corner of Waverley Road and Burke Roads. Caulfield Station is our closest train station. Sunday timetables will apply.
