SpiritSong
A choir where music becomes belonging
Spiritsong is a new community choir for people who sense that music can be more than performance. It is a place to breathe together, listen deeply, and give voice to the spiritual currents that run through ordinary life. We sing not only to sound good, but to become more fully alive.
Why join Spiritsong?
Long before we explain our beliefs, we sing.
Across cultures and centuries, people have gathered in song to grieve, celebrate, hope, and pray. Singing has always been one of the simplest and most powerful ways human beings come into harmony with one another. Our choir, Spiritsong grows from this ancient instinct.
We believe:
- singing creates connection
- connection creates belonging
- belonging opens us to something larger than ourselves
In that space, something sacred happens.
What we explore
Our music sits in the “in-between” space. Not quite traditional church music, not quite popular music, but something reflective, spacious and contemporary.
We draw from:
- meditative and contemplative song
- modern choral and acoustic styles
- global and folk traditions
- new compositions and creative collaborations.
The aim is not performance excellence alone, but shared presence, listening, and expression.
Who is the Choir for?
Spiritsong is open to:
- experienced singers
- community choir members
- people returning to music after many years away
- anyone curious about the spiritual dimension of singing
No auditions No pressure Just willingness to participate and learn together.
If you can carry a tune and an open heart, you belong here
What to Expect
Rehearsals are relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtful.
We warm up, learn music at a steady pace, share supper, and build real community along the way. At times the choir will sing in church gatherings or special events, but our focus is always the experience of singing together rather than performance perfection.
Expect laughter, depth, and the quiet joy that comes when voices begin to move as one.
